If I can get full-width character overrides going, then (after such a long long process), there would be 100% feature-parity in Win/Word (maybe the most used platform).
Does the override feature work in OneNote? (The easiest way to test this is to copy and paste the following: 三 三思 三.saam3, which should look like this:

I know this command wont work on word Microsoft 365. So just to share as you requested.
the second photo is what I concernted the most, because in the class, if I use word, I wont be able to edit, for example 長江人長得美
so I can type 長江人長大得美, then delete大.

Yes or no. I have three laptops, the one I use the most is running on window 11, as for the others, I am not sure.
想講多一句, word唔係太穩定, 我已經裝晒所有我擁有既機, 新機表現最好, 最穩定.
其他機, 會有時VF字體黑色晒, (一黑就少咗嗰種色彩活力), 明明個theme已經轉咗唔黑架.
一定係window問題. 我再覆你其他機行咩. 但行window 11既word係表現最佳既.
That means the color version works at least on Windows 11 
I use Windows 10. The font is always all black in Microsoft Word.

我laptop third, 可能係行window 10, 我再re 你佢出唔出到色, 應該係出唔到.
點解一模一樣嘅做法，會同時一個黑白 一個彩色?! The two fonts were built the same way. How can one be colored and another B/W, on the same app / same OS?? 
Seeing this I don’t know if there is ever a way to make it work for all the different versions of Win+Office.
Maybe because of the length of the font name again? 會唔會又係因為個名長好多? 
2024 年喇喎。 仲八個字檔名？ It’s 2024… Windows still want max 8 characters?
But I agree that is something to try. It’d be crazy if it’s a font name length issue. It’s definitely NOT in the specs.
係囉。我都好吃驚呀。the pc works the best is the one I download both folders - - monochrome and colour.
I recalled in the beginning, there were similar problem and after I gave up using dark mode, things improve.
It may be a good news, if some word users, they did not change their themes and probably no problem for them.
Well, at least, VF Cantonese showed colour Romanisation.
When more talents got invited to here to help testing the fonts, things may improve. I asked my FD to join to help testing with their pc.

Can you open the file using PDF software on your PC though?
I have made quite a few colored PDFs from the font for the benchmarking / repository, and they are not generally so large:
- the Collective article (20 pages): 15.5 Mb,
- Hong Kong Yue wikipedia (25 pages): 27.7 Mb
The PDF files can be downloaded from the above link. Your PDF requires me to sign-in but I do not have the needed credentials.
Just done some testing on Windows 11. After updating to the latest version of Microsoft Word, the colors show up

Turning on ligature is required (not sure if it is because it is new installation.)

With 2.6 in Early Access, I’ll unpin this topic and create/pin that one. 2.6 is a release candidate, and will only see minor changes before it goes live in May.
